The Principles Of Our Sniper Server

The art of sniping does not involve running and/or jumping while shooting (Run & Gun).
A sniper is a stealthy, sneaky type that never wants to disclose his or her position.
By doing so, a sniper may get as many frags as possible without being killed.
A good sniper is not always the one with the most frags.
20 frags to go with 25 or 30 deaths is not how your score should look.
Your goal is to have the GREATEST number of frags and the LEAST number of deaths.

Therefore, please do not run and jump, while shooting your gun.
If this is your style of play, you will be asked to stop.
If you persist with this style of play, you will be kicked from the server.

Obviously, you can run and jump and translocate to find a good spot.
Please use this technique ONLY when respawning and trying to find a hiding spot.
Use some thought, some strategy and a lot of patience.

Your goal is to reach a good spot, to CAMP, NOT CONSTANTLY PROWL AROUND, and then snipe...
DO NOT run and chase players down! That is NOT Sniping!!

Please keep in mind that there is more than one good spot to snipe from on every map.
You do not need to run back to the same spot if you get killed.

Often, during a game you will come across other players in a head-to-head situation.
When this happens do not jump or dance around the player or use your translocator to confuse them.
Crouch and slide back and forth or circle the player as you fire your rifle.

If you come across another player while YOU ARE SPAWNING, MOVE ON TO ANOTHER SPOT.
The spawning player has a duty to move on, and the already spawned player has a duty to let you go away.
DO NOT USE YOUR SPAWN PROTECTION TO GET CLOSE TO ANOTHER PLAYER FOR A CHEAP KILL.
ABUSING THIS RULE WILL GET YOU KICKED OFF THE SERVER !!

No Teaming is permitted on this server unless the gametype is TDM.
 

 

Do Not Be Rude To Other Players

Rudeness to others is the easiest way to get banned from this server!

The BwA server is a place to come and enjoy your gaming experience.
You absolutely MUST BE Polite to the other players.

Filters are in place to keep the language clean. If you use vulgar language, the system will automatically
warn you, and if you continue, will automatically inhibit you from chatting for a "cool down" time.
You are expected to act like a mature adult. If you cannot act in this fashion, you will be warned by the admin.
If you persist in RUDE behavior, you will be BANNED from the server - NO second chances once I have warned you!
So be nice to one another, and play fair. Remember that it is a GAME!!

If your nickname contains vulgarities, or is deemed to be offensive to other players, the system will automatically
kick you out until you change it.
 

 

Headshot Bonus

Any time you get a Headshot, you get a bonus frag (2 frags for a headshot) plus 10 points are added to your player health.
In addition, you get an additional 10 ammo rounds. You can't get a headshot if the player is crouching.
 

 

Spawn Protection

When players are re-spawning after being killed, a spawn protection will provide invincibility for 8 seconds.
While protected, players take on a translucent and deformed appearance. Use this time to run and find a place to hide.

DO NOT USE THIS TIME TO SEARCH OUT THE PERSON THAT SHOT YOU !!
Close range Revenge killing is an unacceptable practice on the BwA server, rather, seek your revenge from a distance.
In addition, there is a mutator that helps prevent close range revenge killing, so beware!

There is a message that indicates when spawn protection starts and ends, as well as a tune that plays
while you are protected, and a tone that indicates when the protection time has ended.

During this time of spawn protection, you CANNOT shoot anyone and you CANNOT be killed.
If you shoot someone while you or they are protected, you will EXPLODE. Likewise, if someone
shoots you while you or they are protected, THEY will EXPLODE.
